Naming
Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam was a prominent professor, a well-known lawyer, clean politician. Founding Background
Immediately after the establishment of "Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Smriti Parishad" in 1989, a proposal to establish an educational institution to keep the memories of this great personality unveiled at the meetings of the organization. Anand Mohan College, the only government organization to study students in the upper middle class in the city of Mymensingh in 1995, became a worried parent, after being removed from the government order by the government order. Due to other non-governmental colleges in the city that are not quality or the government is not official, the matter has become a demand of Mymensingh. In the meeting of Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Smriti Parishad on 28th August 1998, the issue of establishment of college in the name of Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam was completed in the syllabus. In the meeting held at the Private Laboratory High School, the Chief Adviser and Convenor of the Smriti Parishad M. In the city of Mymensingh under the chairmanship of Jude Ali Sahib, the proposal to change the name of the Private Laboratory High School was changed with the consent of the Syed Nazrul Islam School and College, with the consent of the school management committee and sympathetic consideration to the school management committee. Professor Shamsul Islam, former Principal of Ananda Mohon College Professor Abul Kalam, former Principal of Netrokona Government College Professor Majibar Rahman, former Principal of Ananda Mohan College Professor Md. Mujibur Rahman attended the meeting as invited guests. If the prominent academicians pledged to establish the college in the name of Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam and the establishment of the college, the initiative for the establishment of the college has got accelerated. In the meeting, a 20-member College Organizing Committee (SIT) was constituted with the consent of all.
